When I think of a spa I think of relaxing, feeling comfortable and being pampered by all of the employees. Well, that’s exactly how I felt at Derrick Thompson’s Dental Spa. From the time I arrived and greeted by receptionist Fred with his amazing smile, to the time I was seen by the hygienist it was an amazing experience. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Dr. Thompson and his team! As someone who has not had the best past experiences at the dentist, I have never felt so comfortable and safe. With each visit, my anxiety becomes non-existent because I know I’m in good hands. This team not only cares about their patients, but they really go out their way to ensure you are being educated, heard, and comfortable throughout the entire process.
I went to see Dr. Thompson back in December so I could finally get a tooth pulled. I’d been told by other dentists that was the case. I’d already had 2-3 failed apioectemies. Not only did he see that the tooth could and should be saved, he replaced my crowns and they look great. When he asked what I thought I said rather casually “Oh, these are cool” but after leaving the office I looked and realized just how much better they looked. Much MUCH better than what I had before. Love! Love! Love! This dentist office. From the time you walk in they are super professional and super friendly! It’s really important to me that I feel valued as a customer and from day one, they made me feel valued. Shout out to my girl Courtney for the TLC she gave me through my deep cleaning! Very thorough and uses the latest technology, but very difficult to schedule an appointment. Communication is poor. I called several times since March to reschedule a follow up appointment for cavity repair, but no one has returned my call so I will be finding a new dentist. One time when I called to reschedule, the receptionist returned the call over a week later.
