Dr.O‘Mara‘s entire team made my first visit feel like I was already part of a family. From the front office; Jennifer and Elaine to Leslie, her assistant; everyone was very warm and welcoming. Dr. O‘Mara was very thorough in her explanations on what she is doing and what future visits would entail. Margarita, the dental hygienist was just as warm and friendly and made the cleaning a quick and pleasant experience! We have been patients of Dr Jay for many years. We knew he was winding down and recently learned he had sold his business to Dr O’Mara. We had our first appointment with her yesterday and could not be more pleased. We had a problem because we forgot that my husband needed antibiotics before his cleaning. She went out of her way to help us solve this problem. She has exemplary interpersonal skills, kind listens and cares ( really important for a dentist). I had my first appt and meeting with Dr O’Mara today. I was impressed that she noted my problems (correctly) and discussed with me how shed like to take the time to put together a comprehensive treatment plan. I absolutely appreciated her not blindly throwing a piecemeal plan at me. I started with 4 stars and once we get the plan & costs set I will update this. I had a horrible pain in my tooth that lasted for a year after my old dentist filled a small cavity. I kept telling him I couldn’t eat and I was in so much pain. He tried adjusting the filling and even sent me to the endo twice. I ended up spending alot of money that was wasted because they didn’t know what the issue was. Dr O'Mara has kept Dr Jay's previous staff (who are wonderful people!) and added value to her new practice. I'm glad to welcome her back to San Diego, and I feel fortunate that she's out new dentist!
