As I was dropping off a very injured feral cat to be humanely euthanized a couple with a dog in definite respiratory distress came in. It sounded as if the owners had even called ahead to let the office know they were coming in. The dog was having a very hard time getting air and its tongue was beginning to turn blue. The office staff seemed more interested in questioning why I was dropping off and feral cat and their coffee break than the dog in the lobby.
