I loved my experience with this vet. He helped get all three of my babies antibiotics and helped with a reasonable price! He answered all the questions I had! I'd definitely send people there!

🚨 A WARNING About Edmonton West Animal Hospital & Spay/Neuter Centre 🚨 I never thought I’d have to write this, but I need to warn all fur parents about Edmonton West Animal Hospital & Spay/Neuter Centre. I used to trust this clinic completely, but starting in 2023, everything went downhill. It’s heartbreaking 💔😡 to see how far they’ve fallen. I officially walked away from them on December 16, 2024, and I will NEVER take my fur children back there again. One of the most shocking issues is their repeated habit of blatant... read more

I took my dog in back in June because he had a tick in his neck. the vet saw him and removed the tick. He said he wasn't too concerned because the ticks in Alberta very rarely carry diseases. We wanted the tick checked for diseases anyway so we paid the fee to have that done. July cones and goes and nothing on the tick. the last weekend in July my dog is hobbling and can barely walk. We take him back again because our vet is not open. tithe vet did xrays and states it's arthritis. sent him home on codeine and gabapentin. He ... read more

I am in full disbelief that this just happened at our veterinary clinic Edmonton West Animal Hospital. My husband is on disability and yet trying to be as useful as he can. In the past, we had a great experience with dr Zandi and hence left great reviews and recommended that clinic to many new customers. This time we had a horrible experience. First, we were enticed by a significantly lower price to have the budget vaccination shots done for our two miniature dachshund puppies. My husband even visited clinic in person to wri... read more

I had my kitten spayed in late August and she came out of the surgery fine. In October it appeared she was in heat, but we didn’t realize what it was. Then again in November and December but this time in January I realized what was going on and she wasn’t missing the grandkids, she was acting like she was in heat. She had Ovarian remnant syndrome. Apparently a thread of reproductive tissue is enough to put them in heat. I don’t know if it’s their technicians that do the surgeries and are just over seen by a Vet but this ... read more

I do not recommend Edmonton West. My dog was unable walk and I had my dog accessed and x-rays done here. A Vet wasn’t present for the discharge of my dog and a tech sent us home with several medications and said “most likely it’s a slipped disc”. I was told a vet would contact me and when I had not yet heard from anyone 24 hours later I called and requested copies of his x-rays and to speak with a vet, and was told someone would email me. I still haven’t heard from anyone. What kind of customer service is this? Why do they ... read more

I brought my dog in last Friday as a emergency walk in. I was told he had an eye infection and given eye drops. Today, one week after getting the drops (and a $245 vet bill) the side of his face is still hugely swollen. I took him to different vet clinic and within 2-3 minutes she suspected it was not an eye issue at all. She said she felt it was a tooth abscess. She took a needle and was able to extract a very large amount of puss and blood. This infection is quite serious because my dog in 9 years old and is in heart failu... read more

FOLLOW UP: This vet clinic is NEGLIGENT! I am so surprised that no one has filed a civil suit against them yet! The vet pushed for surgery, not going into detail about my dog’s blood work or x-ray results. I took her to another vet clinic and surgery would be the worst thing to do based on her blood palettes, rbc and wbc. Not only that but my dog is anemic with an enlarged liver. No mention of that while they were pushing hard for surgery. WORST CLINIC EVER. The vets and staff have no empathy. My dogs are currently patient... read more

this clinic cares more about 21$ than they do about the health of a dog. since he got his dental work here, my dog has had excessive thirst and urination. has had to take 4 separate urine tests and they forgot to charge me for one. called this morning to discuss the results because they said they had them but couldn't unless they received the $21 they forgot to charge me. I sent it right away and haven't heard anything back. holding information hostage about a pet for a measly $21 how unprofessional.
